North Sea Jazz Festival: We go because we’re music lovers. We visit because we want to see musicians in action, we want to pretend our favourite songs are being sung live, just for us. We go because we want to bond with like minded people. We visit to discover new talent but we go, mostly, to feed our souls.
This year was, as usual, mind blowing. Sergio Mendez, Marcus Miller, Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett, Mary J. Blige and D’Angelo were some of the musicians I was lucky enough to enjoy. But the most inspiring of all the acts would have to be Miss Lizz Wright. O what a talent!
